Beautiful morning for plein air at Cremorne point with my Mum enjoying the view with a book😊 A gentleman passing by stopped to watch me paint. He tried to start a conversation but he doesn’t speak much English. I caught a few words that sound like German and we tried to communicate with a mixture of languages. Interesting encounter but apparently art doesn’t have the language barrier :)
Beautiful summer days in Hamburg. I like to take a stroll along the Alster and watch all the activities on the lake. Hamburg is a beautiful city with many canals and waterways. It has more bridges than Venice! There are many sailing clubs around the lake and nearly all school kids learn to sail. I found so many painting inspirations but the blooming water lilies caught my eyes. It was 35 degrees, a rare scorching day for Hamburg, but very nice to paint plein air in the shade as there was constant refreshing breeze. Love the reflections of the boat masts dancing like notes on a musical score among the water lilies. A butterfly even landed on my painting briefly. What a beautiful memory of summer days in Hamburg.
