Perfect day plein air at Gerringong, one of the most beautiful coastal villages near Sydney. I was so lucky to stay here for a project a few years ago when it was quiet and peaceful . Who would imagine it now becomes an internet sensation because it looks like a scene from a Japanese cartoon 😂
Joined urban sketchers Shanghai for the first time last Saturday in a thousand year old temple with two 700 year old gingko trees. It felt so special to paint plein air in a temple where the monks walked by and said they like my paintings. A young family with a little girls watched behind me for almost half an hour! The girl had so many questions that I was having so much fun answering her questions. I added the young family and their dog in the painting although they don’t have a dog. The girl said she would get one now 😂😂😂So much fun!

Beautiful morning for plein air at Lavender bay. I always love this view overlooking this house with a terra cotta roof and a little garden. I like to imagine what a gorgeous view they have from their living room and famous neighbour like Wendy Whiteley😍
Just back from a six-week trip to South America. I found it so funny when I woke up and saw the red light under the TV, my first thought was “oh, crocodile!” Then I realized I was not in Brazil any more and I was a bit disappointed. I never expect this Brazil trip would leave such a huge impact on me. It was like stepping into Zootopia and I’ve never been surrounded by so many wildlife in my life! Among all the beautiful birds, Hyacinth Macaw is probably my favourite. They are beautiful, they are cheeky, and when they fly, that blue in the sky! They were almost driven to extinction and only a thousand left in the wild once. Thanks to the dedication of many wildlife lovers, we are lucky to be able to see them in the wild again 😍

I love to watch people on the beach, they are all my inspirations: kids playing with their fur friends, beautiful girls braving the waves, and of course our beloved life savers :)
I was painting en plein air at the beach. A little girl ran over to pick the flowers right beside me. Love her chubby pink cheek and the pretty pink dress in the light, picture perfect. I am so grateful that her father was happy for me to take some photos as my next painting inspiration. I even got time to add her in the plain air piece 😍
I was painting en plein air at lavender bay and spotted this girl reading on the bench nearby. Strangely, in today’s digital age, I am always attracted to people who are still reading books the old-fashioned way 😀
I love the Shoalhaven area and I was lucky to stay at Gerringong for a while. I went jogging on the beach every morning and love to watch the locals braving the morning chill and surfing when the morning sun just rises. The the energy of the turquoise water is forever a magnet for me. Such beautiful memories 😍😍😍
The cutest thing in Easter 😍We were lucky to stay in a holiday house near a farm where there were lots of new born lambs. They were so energetic, hopping around thinking they were Easter bunnies 😂 Watching the lambs everyday made this holiday so joyful 😍😍😍
Just back from Patagonia and I already miss it. For a person who loves mountains, Patagonia is definitely one of the most beautiful places on this blue planet 😍😍😍. Although we stayed in a very basic accommodation in Torres del Paine, the view is unbeatable. I can virtually watch the famous peaks…
We visited a penguin beach near Cape Town during our trip to South Africa. It’s amazing to see so many beautiful penguins on the beach. Parents raising young ones, some just lazing around. This one showing off as if asking the partner “am i handsome ?” 😁
